A magnetic field is difficult to visualize. It can be made visible with a magnet and some iron filings as shown in this video. By all means, let kids perform and experiment with this for themselves.It will be especially interesting to observe how the magnetic field (iron filings) behaves as two magnets (like and then unlike poles) are brought together.
