The following video demonstrates geotropism, the plant’s ability to sense and respond to gravity. Note how roots and stems respond respond oppositely. This makes obvious sense from the plant’s point of view, but it is curious from the science point of view. What is the difference between roots and stems that makes them behave oppositely?
