      The following video describes the basic structure of the water molecule and how this structure leads to POLARITY of the water molecule. That is, one end (the O end) being slightly negative and the other end (the H end) being slightly positive in electric charge. Hence, there is a weak attraction (+ to _) between between -O-H groups of adjacent molecules. This weak attraction is known as HYDROGEN BONDING. Hydrogen bonding among water molecules leads to many unique properties of water including what will and won’t dissolve as described in the following video:
