Velocity and speed–There is a difference.

We tend to think of velocity and speed as the same thing and use the two wards interchangeably in our everyday talking. However, when it comes to physical science definitions, there is a significant difference as described in the following video. (Note that velocity and speed are the same only when the object is moving in a straight line.)
