The following article (July 23, 2019) gives the disconcerting news that the parasite that causes malaria is appearing in forms resistant to the primary drugs that are used to hold the disease in check (kill the parasite). Discuss with your kids how this is an example of “survival of the fittest.” Post questions as needed.
