Kids who are into dinosaurs may be excited to learn that they did not all become extinct. They are still around, but now we call them birds! Many recent and ongoing fossil finds provide convincing evidence of an evolutionary progression from dinosaurs to birds. Googling “dinosaur evolution to birds” will link you to articles where you can pursue this theme in any depth you desire. Please let us know what you and your kids find.
