Periodic table of elements

When students have gained the background to this point, you may show them a periodic table of elements. Point out how it shows the elements in horizontal rows according to atomic number (number of protons) rather than alphabetically. It also gives the element’s atomic weight (average of its isotopes).
Clicking on a given element will give much additional information concerning the element.
