      The following is a video tour of a modern wastewater treatment plant. If you visit a wastewater treatment facility, you may see variations, but they all include the same basic processes: 1) screens to remove trash; 2) settling tanks that allow solids to settle to the bottom and be removed; and 3) enhanced aeration (adding of oxygen) that stimulates natural microorganisms to feed on and digest organic matter and harmful species.
