Have students observe how a climatograph depicts the cycle of the seasons; that is: cooler winter months, warming during the spring, warm summer months, and cooling fall months. Note how life cycles of flora and fauna follow in concert, and all of this correlates with the orbit of the Earth about the sun.
How the way the Earth orbits the sun gives rise to changing seasons is addressed in Lesson D-9, Volume II. With older students, it may be brought in here.
