Plants–multiple adaptations for desert living

      There is often more than one way to solve a problem. Nature illustrates this principle. For example, living in low-rainfall regions (deserts) demands that plants and animals have means of conserving the small amount rainfall that does occur. The following video illustrates some of ways that different species  have adapted to desert conditions.

       

       

      To survive over the long term, all organisms must have the ability to disperse (move from one place to another.) Plants accomplish this by spreading their seeds. The following sites illustrate some of the multiple ways different species have adapted to dispersing seeds
